Architecture explainer
by super-artifacts · Published
A system explained in one page: a large zoomable diagram first, then a short overview, then every part as a legend entry (what it does, who owns it, what it talks to), then the important flows as numbered steps, each with an optional sequence diagram. Deep links to every part and flow, light and dark, prints cleanly.

What your agent fills in
- Optional:explainerjson
The system to explain. Only "title" is required, but a useful explainer has all four parts: "diagram" (Mermaid text in "mermaid", or a pre-rendered "svg"), "overview" (markdown: paragraphs, lists, ### subheads, > quotes, **bold**, *italic*, `code`, [links](https://…)), "parts" (each with a stable kebab "id", "name", one-sentence "role", a "kind" and optional owner, tech, link and "talksTo" [{to: another part's id, how}]), and "flows" (each a named list of "steps", each step optionally naming the "part" that does it, plus an optional "sequence" Mermaid diagram). Ids become deep links (#part-<id>, #flow-<id>). "updated" as YYYY-MM-DD is formatted for the reader.
Use cases
- Explain our auth flow to a new engineer
- How the deploy pipeline works, with a sequence diagram
- Data model overview for the product team
- Explain this repo's edge worker
- Onboarding map of our services
